CLdN Automotive Ltd. is a Vehicle Enhancement Centre where vehicles are prepared for customer handover and commercial vehicles are being built to fleet customers’ specifications. It is a busy, fast-paced environment and as the Company continues on its rapid growth, a new opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice – Procurement & Supply Assistant.
Within this challenging role, you will shadow/work alongside the Purchasing Team to learn and support with the Automotive Purchasing processes.
Your role
You will be expected to study and pass the Procurement & Supply Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship.
To have strong customer focus, commercial acumen and a pro-active approach striving to meet the demands of customers in a timely manner.
To support with supplier negotiation and help to guarantee value for money deals are obtained. Ensuring all procurement systems and databases are managed, maintained and information cleansed for accurate reporting.
To assist with the reconciliation of all invoices, delivery notes and stock receipt notes against purchases. To ensure that all purchasing requirements are carried out fully within the pre-determined legal procedures.
- To identify cost reductions and be responsible for cost effective practices for the benefit of the Company.
- To communicate closely with Stores and Accounts departments and ensure that the information flow between the departments is accurate and timely.
- To build excellent working relationships with peers, colleagues, customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
Your profile
It is important that you have a good work ethic and good organisational skills
You will hold GCSE level 4 or functional skills Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent)
You will have good written and verbal communication skills
You must be a self-motivated individual
Excellent IT skills are required, including a good working knowledge of MS Office
You must have high attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload whilst working to tight timescales in accordance with company policies is important
Good time-keeping is essential
You must be able to work within a team and a flexible approach to work is necessary
Ideally, you will hold a full UK driving license, but is not essential.
