To support our continued growth, CLdN RoRo Agencies NV is looking for an IT Support Engineer (CCTV & Access Control) to join our IT team in Zeebrugge. In this role, you will provide support for and help maintain our CCTV and access control systems across our operations in Belgium and the Netherlands, ensuring the security and smooth functioning of our sites.

Your role

  • Manage and maintain CCTV systems, including software upgrades, security patching, camera firmware updates and the resolution of technical faults;

  • Configure, maintain and support access control systems, including badge readers, barriers, intercom systems and camera integrations;

  • Design and implement technical solutions to support terminal expansions and infrastructure developments;

  • Develop and implement solutions in response to changes in security policies and operational requirements;

  • Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of CCTV and access control environments;

  • Liaise with and oversee third-party vendors and contractors during installations, maintenance activities and project implementations;

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing systems, processes and security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the continuous and reliable operation of CCTV and access control systems across the sites under your responsibility;

  • Support and deliver new CCTV and access control projects from design through implementation;

  • Ensure that security infrastructure remains aligned with business and compliance requirements;

  • Manage and support systems across multiple locations, currently including: Zeebrugge, Rotterdam and Vlissingen.

Your profile

  • You are fluent in English. Any additional language is considered an advantage;

  • You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience managing CCTV and access control systems;

  • You have knowledge of CCTV and access control platforms; experience with Genetec and/or Milestone is considered a strong asset;

  • You have a good understanding of the hardware components that support these systems;

  • You have knowledge of fiber optic cabling;

  • You possess a basic understanding of networking principles;

  • You are capable of independently developing and proposing technical solutions;

  • You have a hands-on, problem-solving mindset and take ownership of your responsibilities;

  • You have strong communication skills and can effectively collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners..
