Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge (LSS) May 2024

All shipments between GB and IRE/NI are subject to a Low Sulphur Surcharge (LSS). LSS is adjusted monthly, based on the average index price of 0.5% sulphur and the £/$ exchange rate (Bank of England). Costs in LSS may rise or fall, leading to monthly variable charges per metre.

LSS for May 2024 will be £2.72/ €3.18 per metre

LSS calculations and GBP/Euro exchange rate (Bank of Engand) are averaged on the period, 16.03.2024 -15.04.2024. The Low Sulphur Surcharge (LSS) is charged per metre and applied equally to all GB-Ire/NI routes.

CO2 Surcharge

CO2 surcharges May 2024

Shipments on routes in and out of Ireland are subject to an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and CO2 surcharge. The CO2 surcharge is adjusted monthly. The price for May is based on a CO2 price of EUR 60.8 (Average EEX EUA End of Day Index price in EUR/tonne) for the period 16.03.24 -15.04.24. ETS is adjusted during the EU phase-in period (-60% in 2024) and for routes to/from the UK (a further -50%).
