In order to ensure our ambitious expansion plan, CLdN Ports is looking for a Business Controller for our office in Zeebrugge. 

Within this challenging role, you will review and analyse periodic financial and operational reports. In addition, you will provide business support and guidance to all levels of the organization, from dock labourers to management, in effort to optimize the business performance.

Your role

After going through an on-site training program in our terminals/ports, you will achieve a perfect understanding of the operations. Reporting to the Head of Business Controlling and working in close collaboration with the controlling team, your responsibilities will include;

  • Provide periodic and ad hoc financial and operational reports for our management 

  • Analysing the operational processes;

  • Respond to process- and data-related subjects;

  • Design and run daily (BI-)reporting on our activities;

  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decisions

 

Your profile                                                                          

As a business controller we expect you to have strong numerical and reporting skills and a solid understanding of financial accountancy. Preferably, you have well developed IT skills, in Excel, PowerBI, Python & SQL.          

  • You hold a Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Business Economics, Controlling, Finance or Accountancy;

  • You have a relevant first experience.

  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate and understand business issues and problems;

  • You are fluent in English and Dutch;

  • You are willing to occasionally travel across Europe, for which a driving license category B is needed.
