Within this challenging role, you will

build robust and scalable data solutions that ensure reliable, high-quality data is available across the organisation, enabling smarter, data-driven decision-making in a dynamic maritime environment.

 

Your role

  • Data Pipeline Ownership: end-to-end responsibility for extracting, cleansing, transforming and delivering data into our DWH and medallion architecture.

  • ETL & Automation: building, automating and optimizing ETL processes that ensure reliable and efficient data flows across the organisation.

  • Azure Platform Engineering: setting up, maintaining and improving the Azure-based data platform (Databricks, Data Factory, EventHub, DevOps pipelines) to guarantee stability, scalability and performance.

  • Infrastructure as Code: managing and automating cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring consistent and secure deployments.

  • Release & Deployment Management: executing deployments across development, acceptance and production environments via Azure DevOps.

  • Data Modeling & Contracts: designing business-oriented datamodels, maintaining data contracts, and ensuring the DWH supports operational and analytical needs.

  • Quality & Monitoring: safeguarding data quality across all pipelines, proactively detecting issues, and ensuring smooth, stable data delivery.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: working closely with data analysts, functional analysts, developers and application owners to translate business needs into robust data solutions.

  • Documentation & Standards: documenting pipelines, models and platform components according to development and architectural guidelines.

 

 

Your profile                                                                          

  • 5 years technical expertise across Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, EventHub), Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, Python, SQL and dbt, with the ability to translate complex data landscapes into clear, scalable solutions.

  • Strong data modeling capability, familiar with Inmon, Kimball and DataVault, and able to design models that balance business needs with architectural best practices.

  • Analytical and conceptual thinker who understands end-to-end data flows, identifies long-term implications, and makes well-founded technical choices.

  • Clear and adaptable communicator, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and build trust across teams.

  • Proactive problem solver who anticipates issues, drives automation, and ensures high standards for data quality, documentation and maintainability.

  • Hands-on delivery mindset, combining solid engineering skills with structured and reliable execution across development, deployment and operational follow-up.

Working Hours & Additional Leave

  • Full-time contract of 38 hours per week

  • 5 extra days off in addition to statutory vacation days

  • Hybrid working: max. 3 days per week after 6 months

  • Work hours with flexible start (7:30–9:30 AM) and finish (4:00–6:00 PM)
