Due to our continuous expansion, we are looking for a HR Crewing Officer

Within this challenging position, you will oversee all HR related matters of the crew on our ro-ro vessels.  Additionally, you will be part of a multitasking HR team and provide daily support to the management and the staff of our Headquarter in Luxembourg. 

 

In close collaboration with our crew operations team, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Daily maintenance of all employee personnel files, vessel files and database records necessary to accurately record, documentation, certification, training, etc.;

  • Preparation of the payroll;

  • Acting as a first point of support for all personnel related matters and queries for personnel placed on our vessels;

  • Participation in ad-hoc tasks and projects.

  • Liaise with Commissariat aux Affaires Maritime (CAM) in order to comply with local regulations and directives;

  • Liaison with the operations/technical department regarding the assignment of personnel aboard company managed vessels;

Additionally, you will support our local HR team in the administrative tasks related to the general HR activities:

 

Your profile

  • Minimum 3-years of relevant experience as HR officer in payroll (with seafarers);
  • Ideally, you have crewing experience and a knowledge of marine certification;
  • ‪Good knowledge of the Luxembourg social security system and labor law;
  • ‪Good knowledge of payroll administration and familiarity with specific tax issues of cross border commuters;
  • ‪Fluent in English; 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • You have a good aptitude in problem-solving and able to work autonomous;
  • You are proactive, flexible and reliable.
