Within this challenging role, you will complete regular quality checks within port operations. 

 

Your role

  • To work in a safe manner around the terminal and to follow the Health and Safety rules, maintaining compliance with the Terminal Procedures, Company Policies and Safe Systems of Work. 

  • Completing regular quality audits and inspections, recording the findings and reporting these back to Management.

  • Accurately collate and record damages and quality related data.

  • Liaise closely with all terminal departments via phone, email and any other relevant company applications.   

  • Promote and regularly update the quality spotlight system ensuring action points are recorded and closed off.

  • To be competent in identifying, completing and reviewing damages upon road arrival vehicles and feedback any damage trends to Management. 

  • Assist in preparing and attending quality related meetings as required. 

  • Assist the car operations teams as required.

  • To assist and work closely with operational and non-operational teams and staff from other departments.

Your profile                                                                          

  • Have a full UK valid driving license.

  • Ability to read, write and speak English. 

  • Have a high degree of flexibility with working hours.

  • Have good communication skills with all levels of management and staff.

  • The ability to take ownership, improve and lead others to maximize efficiency and quality of a task or process.

  • Attention to detail in all aspects.

  • Have a basic working knowledge of IT equipment.

  • Able to retain information and disseminate when required.
