CLdN Announces New Container Service Between Rotterdam And Porto

CLdN today announced that it will deploy a new weekly LoLo container shipment service between Rotterdam Distriport and Leixoes (Porto) in Portugal.

The service responds to increasing customer demand for this route and will complement the two weekly return RoRo sailings currently offered between Rotterdam / Zeebrugge and Leixoes. The deployment of container vessels in tandem with RoRo vessels on such longer distance routes forms part of a strategic plan announced by CLdN in 2024.  

The operational model provides increased operational flexibility and sailing frequency for customers as well as further reductions in CO2 emissions per unit. This new LoLo service is scheduled to commence on Sunday 25 January.  

Customers will be informed of the weekly schedules and terminal details in the coming days.
