CLdN expands services between Santander, Liverpool and Dublin.
As announced on 20th September 2022, leading European RoRo ferry operator CLdN has today completed the agreement to acquire all shares in Seatruck Ferries Holding Ltd from Clipper Group of Denmark. This follows the approval of the proposed merger given by the Irish competition authority on 28 October 2022.
Leading European RoRo ferry operator CLdN has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in Seatruck Ferries Holding Ltd. from Clipper Group. With 8 purpose-built vessels, Seatruck Ferries is the leading RoRo operator on the Irish Sea, transporting close to 20% of the region’s seaborne cargo volumes.
CLdN is pleased to welcome the first batch of 100 newly branded trailers from Kässbohrer into its door-to door-fleet.
Multi-modal specialist CLdN placed an order with Kässbohrer that adds 100 craneable trailers to CLdN’s multimodal fleet, all of which will operate on ferry and rail routes throughout the Continent, Iberia, Nordics, Baltics, Ireland and the UK.
CLdN and DFDS have agreed to cease the slot charter agreement to allow both parties to focus on their customers’ needs.
Going forward, CLdN will operate the full capacity of the additional sailings introduced in January this year on the direct route Rozenburg vv Killinghome.
Terminating the call at Vlaardingen will allow for a later departure from Rozenburg, answering customers' requests for just in time deliveries for example refrigerated cargoes, in addition to faster turnaround of equipment.
All CLdN companies (CLdN RoRo/CLdN Cargo/C.Ro Ports) will use the common brand name “CLdN” as of 25 April 2022.

On February 1, CLdN ro-ro signed a contract with Hyundai Mipo Dockyards for two hybrid 8,000 lane meter ro-ro vessels. The order forms part of CLdN’s long term growth plans and further strengthens its current role as greenest ro-ro operator in North-Western Europe. Both vessels will be delivered in the first half of 2025.
Today, five new wind turbines were inaugurated on the sites of the transshipment companies C.RO Ports and WWS in the port of Zeebrugge. The inauguration took place in the presence of Flemish Minister of Energy Zuhal Demir. The development of the wind farm is part of the clean port strategy of the Port of Zeebrugge and was carried out by green energy producer Eneco.
