We are stepping up our Brexit preparations by introducing additional capacity in our UK routes. 

As from last week, 25% extra capacity was added on both the Rotterdam-London and Rotterdam-Humberside routes. In addition and from week 42 onwards, an extra vessel will be deployed to service a third sailing daily sailing between Zeebrugge and London. 

CLdN is poised to welcome the arrival of the fourth 5400 lane meter vessel of the series, the MV Hermine, into the fleet ending her maiden voyage in Zeebrugge on the 4th October 2019. This being the sixth vessel added since the new build strategy was announced in 2016, with a target to introduce twelve new vessels in subsequent years overall.

Following precautionary measures were taken in lights of the Coronavirus:

- The strictest WHO and National hygiene recommendations were implemented in all offices and onboard of our ferries;
- We refrain from business trips, face-to-face meetings and travelling between offices;
- Most of our staff works from home to secure continued operations;
- Both internal and external communication systems have been set up accordingly;
- Back-up scenario's and contingency plans are ready and in place.

We have taken another step in our Brexit preparations with the introduction of an additional pure ro-ro service on a triangle trade between Porto, Dublin and Liverpool. With effect from week 37, 2020, CLdN Ro-Ro is operating one sailing per week from Porto to Dublin, followed by a call in the Port of Liverpool. 

This new offering will provide a very efficient solution to the alternatives, cutting down on excessive road and sea miles for the trailer business especially, by following the shortest, most direct route and avoiding channel and road trips.

Purfleet - June 12, 2020 | Adjacent to their terminal in Purfleet, C.RO Ports has taken a new car deck into operation. Counting six stories in total, the covered parking area has room for over 10.000 cars and vans. From Purfleet, the brand-new vehicles will be distributed to a network of dealerships in the country.

A bold move in the midst of a crisis from short sea freight operator CLdN has been announced, starting the first pure Ro-Ro service in a triangle trade between Santander (ES), Liverpool (UK) and Dublin (IE). With effect from week 25 2020, CLdN will operate one sailing per week from Santander to Liverpool, followed by calling Dublin. The schedule has been created very agile, enabling the vessel to make additional Landbridge calls between Liverpool and Dublin before returning to Santander.
